More about Victor
Victor is dedicated to live sports broadcasting, events, photography, reporting and anything that tells the story of a live production. Victor started as a student aide assisting in the ESPN productions for New Mexico State athletics. Victor first worked as a utility, operated camera for webcasts, he then moved up to rolling commercial reels for local breaks, and worked his way up to operating graphics using Ross XPression and Dashboard. Victor learned more about the system after every telecast, to the point where he's been able to manually calculate stats whenever stat broadcast isn't functioning. Through the hassle of working double duty, Victor has managed to successfully stay on track of getting all graphics up on the air and updating player stats and team stats through an entire ESPN telecast.
As a student, Victor got the opportunity to freelance CBS Sports productions in both El Paso and Las Cruces where he got to worked with well-known Play-by-Play Announcer Carter Blackburn and former Seattle Seahawks Running Back Robert Turbin. In addition to working with the former Seahawks running back and current CBS commentator, Victor also got to work with now retired Aggies Radio Play-by-Play Announcer Jack Nixon for two games. Victor also got the unique opportunity of traveling to Lynchburg, Virginia to cover the 2023 Conference USA Championship football game between the Liberty Flames and New Mexico State Aggies. Followed by the 2023 Isleta New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque between the NM State Aggies and Fresno State Bulldogs.
In addition, Victor worked the 2024 Conference USA Softball Championship in Las Cruces before graduating. After walking the stage, Victor was hired by the University of Texas at El Paso to work for Miner Vision as a graphics operator where he got to work the 2024 Conference USA Volleyball Championship hosted by UTEP.
